Daniel B. Maalouf, M.D., M.P.H.
Attending Anesthesiologist
Dr. Daniel B. Maalouf is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who specializes in regional anesthesia and acute postoperative pain management. He is one of the pioneers at our institution in the use of ultrasonography in regional anesthesia. Dr. Maalouf is involved in clinical research, training and development and has given workshops and training sessions in ultrasound-guided blocks to anesthesiologists in the United States and Europe. Dr. Maalouf is also interested in the treatment of postoperative pain. Part of Dr. Maalouf’s training included a Research Fellowship in France, where he worked hand-in-hand with experts in the field of regional anesthesia, and also participated in training and education. Dr. Maalouf is working with other anesthesiologists and surgeons to optimize treatment plans for our patients involving peripheral perineural catheters for the treatment of postoperative pain.
