Richard S. King, M.D.

Dr. King joined HSS as the first Regional Anesthesia Fellow. Dr. King served as Director of Quality Assurance for the Department of Anesthesiology from 1993 - 1996. He was appointed Director of Education for the Department of Anesthesiology in 1998 and continues to oversee the Department's Education Programs. Dr. King is considered an expert in Acute Pain Management and has lectured extensively on topics such as effective strategies to eliminate postoperative nausea and vomiting, and management of the failed block. Dr. King is a member of several professional societies, and a number of prominent internal Committees including the Alumni Committee and the Patient Satisfaction Committee.
